ok so basically i was at the track yesterday and did my burn out but during it basically what happened was i heard a single pop and the car looses power to the wheels...like if i put it in gear let off the clutch the speedometer will rise as normal....
theres no noise and i got under the car today to see the pass side half shaft popped out some...
drained the tranny fluid and there is no evidence of differential parts anywhere....
so am i correct in thinking i thoroughly dodged a bullet and just have to pop the shaft back in or am i still gonna have to pull the trans to pull it apart and replace the diff?
any help will be greatly appreciated...the cars the only means of transportation and need to get it taken care of within a week

yeah this was covered 15 minutes after you broke it, thats why we jacked it up. put the shaft back in and do the same thing we did at the track and you will know if you blew the diff.

no need to kill you matt....im about halfway done with pulling the trans...had about 3 hours to work on again today and yeah the diff is toast...i got both half shafts out and its all flopping around in there now...so i should have it done by the end of the week....maybw next week if i take my time being i only get a coule hours a day to work on it...

lol, after 8 exploded diffs i know when there toast..haha
i can have a trans out in a hour and a half, and in less or about the same time
