You would have to completely rebuild the whole transmission to get to the synchro. It takes a decent amount of time. Unless you plan on making big power, your best best is to get one re-manufactured (850) or from a junkyard (150-250).

A local transmission shop that has a warranty. It will probably cost more than a reman though. A full rebuild KIT costs like 300-350. Than you have to pay for labor which is like 70 dollars an hour, and it will take at least 5 hours to do. And then you will only have a trans that has new seals and synchros. A reman will have reconditioned/new everything in it.
