I have a 95 Isuzu 5 speed. It looks like a piece of metal has been ejected thru the bottom of the trans case under the differential. I dont know what it is at this point, but i know the trans has a hole it in, and all my fluid poured out. I will assume this is bad. lol
I would like some advice on what to do next. Should I try to swap in another trans of a like year/model, and assume this was a fluke incedent? or Should i swap to a sturdier trans at this point? If a swap is recommeded, can you point to a link with any swap directions so i can see what all parts i will need to aquire? thanks
Of course I'd prefer to stay with the same unit i have, and also install a TGLSD insert before i put it in the car. Other than that, im not very knowledgable about transmissions at all, so i'd like to hear all suggestions. thanks guys.

Are those parts the same dimensions as the 95-99 parts? I know you've said they are stronger, but if I were to pick those parts up would I still be able to use my TG LSD? I'd like to use those parts but Im not going to get rid of the lsd for them.

I would prefer to do something like this as long as my current clutch would work with it. Thats the big thing, I dont wanna have to buy another performance clutch since mine is still good. Is the NVG the same internal slave setup?
which is better, the NVG or this isuzu with all these swapped gears?

you can get an NVG in either internal or external slave. however... the internal slave is far more common.
you could get an NVG with a 3.94 final drive ratio if you get the correct years... i believe its 93 and 94 but dont quote me on that. some come with 3.62.
far as i know all the 95-99 isusu's are 3.94.
didnt your beretta come with an nvg stock?

yeah it came with an external slave nvg, but when i swapped my engine from the 95 pontiac grand am, i took the entire drive line. I didnt wanna have to buy a new spec clutch for the older trans, so i just moved the 95 isuzu over also.

^ I don't get it? Aren't those speed holes in your trans? I thought it makes your trans more aerodynamic so you could shift faster? I am wrong?
