I was wondering what all is needed to swap either the 3.94 or the 4.11 fdr into my 2.2 5spd trans and what you guys do to correct the speedometer. I searched but couldn't really find the answer. Not even in the archives. I want to keep my transmission gears. I just want a lower final drive ratio for quicker acceleration.

Don't let the punks get to you. If they can't say anything helpful its because they probably
have VERY LITTLE IF ANY MECHANICAL SKILLS . Talking crap is just their way of hiding that
fact. They figure the more crap they say the less likley anyone will know how dumb they are.
When I swapped to the 4.11, I pulled the metal reluctor wheel of the original differential and put it on the new one. I do recommend swapping all of the internals out of the earlier trans that you got your 4.11/3.94 out of, the synchros are much stronger (in addition to the differential).
I meant to say swap all of the internals except the shift rails (some will not fit).
