Is the manual trans in a 96 z24 a getrag or isuzu? or could it have both? silly noob question but I don't know.
nevermind I found it in the FAQ section, damn I was hoping it was a getrag too.
Whats the weak link in the isuzu trans? It says in the FAQ you can swap out the parts from isuzi into the weaker GM build isuzu trans......
The main weak points are the 3 piece synchros and the diff spider gears, I just installed 1 piece synchros and a stronger diff from a Geo Storm tranny, we'll see how it holds up.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
