Does anyone have the Engineered Performance Limited Slip Differential for the 4t40E? null
LSD if anyone does what are your opinions of it?
Bringing back from the dead, because I'm somewhat curious myself. I had completely forgotten about Engineered Performance, and wrote them off as too expensive, but according to drivetrain.com, it's only $599......That's not bad for a true LSD.
So, anybody have any experience with them and at what power level?

This doesn't look any different than the LSD inserts we already have for MUCH cheaper.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
How is the one you made doing?
Great, I just wish I had gone a bit stronger on the spring rate. It still helps a lot though.

My EP LSD is working great ( though I only have about 5k on the trans ). The EP LSD is more expensive as it has "clutches" behind the spider gears.

I already have Brian's TG LSD insert. Inserts are essentially lockers under heavy load. A true LSD is supposed to provide unequal wheel speed between inside and outside wheels during a turn, which EP claims their differential does. If you only care about drag racing, sure, you won't notice a difference.

I have the Team Green LSD insert on my built 4T40E tranny and I see no problem with it and no reason to spend twice the pirce. Personally if you want quality transmission parts you go to importtransmissions.com. But thats just my opinion.
