I searched and could not find a clear answer. Is the 4t45e interchangeable with my '98 Cavalier? I know v6's will bolt up to my 4t40e so I'm assuming the 4t45e will bolt up to my 2200 as well. That's about as much as I know so any insight would be appreciated.

The reason I want to do this is I've got a '97 Monte with blown 3100 sitting out back and my current trans is running higher revs in overdrive than it should. I can get another 4t40e at the yard with 100k miles for $150 but the Monte only has 70k miles so lower miles and free sounds a lot better lol

I think you can swap the 4T45E internals into a 4T40E Bell housing that is made for the LN2.
