Slipping clutch?

My clutch is at 100k miles and feels wierd...today i was in 1st floored to 5600rpms and slammed 2nd, the rpms stayed at 6000 for a good second then sorta pulled in 2nd......basically it was like slamming 2nd and the tires spun so the rpms stayed up but the thing is, the tires didnt break free....im sure my foot was completely off the pedal when i shifted....i tried the 5th gear 1000 rpms and floor it and it didnt slip, any idea why this happened? or what happened?

Any fluid leaking from the trani area? May be slipping because of a bad rear main seal, oil gets on your clutch and she will never be the same after that. If not it sounds like you are kicking the sh%t out of your clutch, slamming it in and out of gears and yah it may have slipped. You may want to invest in a better clutch if your gonna drive it like you stole it kinda deal (just sounds like you are from the post)

Ps: You may not notice it slipping in higher gears because there is less force on the clutch, it takes more for the motor and clutch to "mesh" when your starting or in low gears. You gotta remember your putting a lot of force on the clutch reving high and changing in low gears.

yea thats how i drive mostly lol i bought the car for 500 dollars from a kid so god knows how he treated it also...hopefully in the spring ill get a new one, i dont really pop it or slam gear that much, it was just it was feelin sluggish so i gave it a good pushin to wake it up

and i dont think there is any fluid leaking, my tranny was low on fluid by half a quart last time i checked and im almost positive that was original fluid so 100k miles and 1/2 quart missing, prob not that.....my cars been making a noise like a little clunk, not a clunk like a tap, idk how to explain it....im thinking a bushing, it happens when i let the clutch out little too fast, also when i turn the wheel almost near lock (even when not moving).....and when the car bounces around in 1st when driving around in that gear so i dont think that has anything to do with it either

for most part, daily driver...im gonna figure old clutch since it has been feeling wierd lately
