what fluid could I use for a 97 Isuzu trans? Shopkey says Synchromesh, but I don't have any easy access to any at the current time.
is there anything I could use in replacement of it as a temporary thing until I can do a rebuild of the trans? I found myself an Isuzu Impulse that I can have the trans out of but I don't have access to it until mid spring. so I don't care if I do damage to the trans that I have now. getting another 2.2 one from the scrap yard when I do the rebuild so I'm not out of a car. .
any help would be appreciated. did a search, but I guess I used the wrong keywords or something.

Synchromesh is available at any advance auto parts for around $8 a quart. NAPA carries it too. In a pinch, you can use ATF.
