I have a 2000 cavalier that currently has a 3 speed auto transmission and I would like to swap a 4 speed auto transmission into it.. what do I all need to do this?

Easiest and cheapest way would be to trade in for one that has a 4 speed

The transmission will bolt up just fine. Only issue is it won't shift. The 3 speed is hydraulic where the 4 speed is electronic and requires the pcm to control the shift points.

You will need to replace the pcm and full wiring harness with a donor car with a 4 speed.

As far as a full wiring harness does that mean a new fuse block and everything... could u please explain it for me I dont really know to much about this
