B&M shiftplus VS. TTR mounts

I'm kinda unsure what to do. I heard great things about the Shiftplus but I fear that factory mounts wont let me use it to the full advantage. On the flip side i hear that you get added vibrations using the TTR mounts. So im questioning whether the shiftplus is good without mounts or not? cause this is a daily driver and ultimately i want to prolong engine and trans life not go racing.

so is the shiftplus better or the mounts better?

Go with shiftplus.

Yes, the harder mounts will send more power to the wheels, but if you're not racing, then you don't really need that, and it's a minimal gain.
The shiftplus just makes driving feel better.

thanks for the responce. I had a feeling the shiftplus was the better option specially considering im only out 40 dollars versus 100+ dollars for mounts

if you want the shiftplus you have an auto tranny, this also means you only have one tranny mount, not mounts.

if i remember correctly ttr discontinued the auto tranny mount they were making because they hardly ever sold.

that being said, i will say flat out that it is worth every dime if you can find a used one. i had that and the shiftplus and it was a great combo. very little (if any at all) extra vibrations over the motor mounts when the auto tranny mount was added.

Correct 4T40E has one mount, and if that is true thank god I got mine when I did!!!!

I would go with the mount first, if available, because I personally feel that having the transmission sitting more firm would be more beneficial all the way around to the cars overall performance. The car should shift better when you cut down the movement of the transmission and increase the amount of torque that is being transferred from the motor.

Either way would be a good investment but this is my two cents.

sorry guys for the miss understanding i was referring to all mounts the whopping three i have 2 engine mounts and the 1 tranny mount. so i apologize for the confusion. i already ordered the B&M it arrives from jegs on thursday (according to fedex). i will install that and see how i like it.

now what you all are saying is skip the engine mounts and install the trans mount provided TTR's site is correct and they have them in stock? or should i go all out and do the mounts all around?

P.S. remember im not out for huge performance just a lil more "get up and go" i have the intake at home and when the exhaust goes out i plan to do a nice mellow low tone, preferrably low tone through the mid range RPMs so i dont piss off people on the base

mounts are cheap and worth the investment. nuff said.

u'll get used to the extra vibrations.

as per your question, it would be silly to only do the tranny mount and leave the engine flopping in the bay like a fish on land. do them all.

Buy this mount it is awesome. So glad I scooped up mine when I could. To the OP, TTR makes some pretty bad@$$ mounts. I have all 3 and I am extremely impressed with them. Do your self a favor and get the TTR mounts its worth the extra coin!
