i inherited a 2001 sunfire, 2.2 with a getrag 5-speed that had a busted shift fork.
picked up a used trans for pretty cheap from a reputable scrap yard. seemed to be in good order, but no previous info is known.
did NOT replace the clutch due to time and money constraints.
got everything in, clutch bled, pressure is good. can hear the throwout bearing move. started the car and it won't move. shifts through all the gears with the engine running, WITHOUT hitting the clutch. i've gotta tear it all out anyways, but just wondered if it sounds like a bad trans or a busted clutch.

Sounds like your clutch is bad.
i find it amusing that SHOoff has nothing better to do but follow me around & be an unhelpful dick in even cross-forum. - Jon Mick
i just did the same thing on an 01 z24, pulled transmission back out and turned out splines on transmission were not going into clutch, double check that the transmission actually went into clutch.
