So I'm wiring up my 5 speed swap.
I wire in my reverse lights and then shift into reverse, and no lights come on.
I remove the switch from the trans, and manually activate the switch, and lights come on.
Is it possible that I cannot shift into reverse?
When shifting into 5/R the shifter doesn't go "far" right, I do not have to use the "lift mechanism" to go over the reverse lock on the shifter assembly.
Its about 1/4" away from that, leading me to think my throw is incorrect.
Any write ups on how to adjust the throw.
Any possible way to know if I am in reverse.
The trans currently has no fluid, and the motor has no oil, due to a fresh rebuild so I cannot turn it over.
Thanks to all!!!!!
Figured it out, had to play with the adjustment links on the shifter.

Thats what i was going to suggest, If possible I usually mark the cables before I detach them to get them put back where they were. Glad you found it.
