Hey guys,
I have a 2001 with a LN2. Its an auto, what trans is that?
Thanks
I need some advice and hope you can help me. I have a 2000 Cavalier with the 3t40 automatic transmission. The car only has 115,000 miles on the original drivetrain ( 2200-OHV ). For the last couple of months, every time I slow down from 45-55 MPH and comes to a complete stop, either the car will cut off, or it feels like the trans is dropping rpm's suddenly. Also, when I turn left at 35 plus MPH, the transmission slips and revs up. I have not noticed this problem when turning right at 35 plus MPH. I have to add ATF fluid about once or twice a week. I will be jacking car up tomorrow and see if there is a leak somewhere. I have read that there is an electrical solenoid that controls lockup-and the solenoid sticks in the lockup mode, resulting in an engine stalling when the car is stopped. Could this also be causing the problem with the transmission winding up when turning left? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
