Hey all, I recently bought a set of 18's and can get 225/40/18 Goodyear Essenza tires for a good deal. I can't spend a crazy amount on tires because i'm limited but I was wondering if anybody has any experience with these tires. They are fairly new so not many people have them. The treadwear rating is about 380 and a high treadwear was my primary concern. If anybody has any opinions let me know. Thanks!

hey man if these are the tires i have which are essenza 210 type r, theyre owned by good year, but the tier comp. is essenza.
the tires are very good on a dry road, but as soon as the roads are wet they flat out suck, i'm selling mine in the spring to get diferent tires.

What a loser!

glad to help, remmeber if your not doin a lot of driving in the rain you will probably love these tires, i just found myself driving in the rain alot last year and i was able to break them lose through 1-2-3, but on dry they gripped like hell.

i lost a rim due to them having a @!#$ty sidewall

I cant say that i had or have a problem either way. I thought that they worked well in the rain, and on dry, and i found they dont wear fast at all.

When I bought my car this was one of the tires on the car. Two of the others were crap. Replaced the crap and now they are crap again but the Essenza still has a f load of tread on it. Great tire in my opinion. Looking for a whole set to put on the car.

These are the tires i have now. i havent had any bad experinces with them and i've had them for about 5 months
