do i need for a wheel that is 17X7?
What would you recommend?
215 45-17.
I may not be the sharpest crayon in the box, but at least I'm a pretty color
also think about 225/45
its closer to the stock diameter, and you get a little extra protection for hte wheel

I agree with pirates... go 225-45, puts more rubber on the road... I've been told that anything less will wear quicker when you go plus size... I used to have a 215/40-18 and all four of the outer part of the tire wore quickly, of course I was given this information AFTER I bought them.. Hope my 225's last LONGER!!!
Damn, wish I had known that before I bought mine- I'm having exactly that shoulder wear problem I thought it was a body roll issue. Oh well, I'll get it right one of these days.

I currently have 215/45/17's on my car, and have gotten nothing but compliments on them. The fill in the gap pretty good so that you don't have to do like a 2.5 in drop to male it look decent. Thats My opinion.
I like a 215/40/17. I don't like the look of alot of rubber.
RICE DONT MEAN YOUR SLOW
I have 17x7's on 225/45's ... looks fine and ride feels good... plus it is the correct size, so there ya go

there are 2 correct sizes. 215/45/ and 225/45. the 215 is just slightly smaller than stock, and the 225 is just slightly larger
i got the 215's cause this is my first set of wheels, and i wasnt too sure about the 225's. now i want 225's. if you think about it, being 10mm wider, the sidewall is just slightly larger, therefore adding more cushion to soften the ride and to protect your wheels. ive bent one of mine already

215/45 is more than enough rubber and gives a decent look. 225's look too bulky.
I've hit many potholes (not purposely) and no bends on the rim and drives well on them.
