Okay...I am looking to purchase a set of 2004 LS Sport Chrome rims, but I'm wondering what the center piece is. I'm hoping its something that can be removed, or painted black since its going on a Sunfire.

Sounds like a dumb idea, but I'm not willing to for out $600 for a set of rims that look just as good at these in my opinion. Anyway, if someone could inform me as to what the center piece is and what the best idea is on how to accomplish what I would like, that would be great. Thanks for your time.

It's pretty permanent but i bet you can paint it if you keep an eye
on it and are serious about it. I would suggest real rims though.

its only plastic ... you can pop it off from the back .... mines had the yellow bowties ... i got the one with the red bowties ... all i did was pop them off ... from behind the wheels .. its easy .. itso nly plastic and pops rite back on

you can pop the center piece off of a 16" sunfire GT rim and put it on the cavalier. my wife has a 03 cav with those rims and i have a 02 sunfire GT. the rims look different but they are identical in size and came with the same goodyear eagle RSA's. kinda weird how many similarity's there are between two different looking cars...
