Squeaking wheel covers.
Sunday, July 31, 2005 11:29 PM
Don't be jealous but I have stock steely 14's on my 03 Cavalier with the plastic wheel covers. They squeak horribly and I don't know how to stop it. Anybody know how to stop that? I know I'm not the only one cuz I hear you other people with the same wheels driving by with the same sound. I don't have the money to buy new rims like I really want and nobody got them for me for my b-day 2 weeks ago so that fix is not an option. Thanks for any suggestions.

Have you checked your brakes?

take em off, or buy actual rims. They all do it, my 05 did it since it was new

I was not going to buy rims cuz I wasn't sure if I was going to laid off at my job but I found out that our mechanics won't strike so I might be able to afford them. Plain steel would be pretty flashy though. HAHA! Maybe some blue hi-temp paint to match the car?
