Z28 rims on 05 Cav????
Sunday, September 18, 2005 4:15 PM
I may be crazy, but oh well. I have a 05 Cav and I have a set of Z28 rims in my backyard. So, will they fit with an adapter? Do they make an adapter? How about rotor and drum clearance

Want all your opinions and thoughts

Different bolt pattern . . . .

They will stick out, and the tires pry will rub, due to the offset being way off. Adaptors will only make them stick out farther.

It's funny you should post this. I use 1991 camaro rs wheels with dot drag tires at the strip. Not only do the hook great on the camaro but the sunfire enjoys the same benefits. Oddly enough, the bolt pattern is the same. I think the 82-92 camaro's use a different bolt pattern than the 93-02's.

Bolt Pattern of Third Gen fbodies is 5x4.75". Bolt pattern of 4th gen fbodies is 5x4.75"

Fbody bolt patterns are all the same with varying widths of backspacing. I don't see how you can run fbody rims on your sunfire, when sunfires have a 5x100 bolt pattern, if anything your rims would rub like hell if you ran a decent sized rim (15x8.5") wouldn't you?

They only work out to 235's they fit pretty well. They do stick out a little, but nothing that is horrible. It looks like a fwd drag car. Good thing too, i only use them at the strip. As far as using them on the street, i wouldn't recommend it.
