ok i drive alot deliver pizza in my j this would be my third set with in 48 thousand my size is p205-55r-16 and there expensive plus my last set was bf goodwrench traction ta they didnt last nopw ther want to sell me the new bf goodwrench g force the owner of the tire shop told me that he went to a seminar and got to drive a car over a road course with the tire and the handling was amazing but not good for winter at all my other option would be by thoses and a extra set of snow tires and that way they last longer since i was switchen in and out so any other ideas of a good set of tires?????
holy run on sentence. 3 sets of tires within' 48k? thats alot. is your aligment off or something, causing them to wear quicker?
I'd reccomend getting some cheap wal-mart special tires seeing as your job requires you to use your car. Get something with an ungodly treadwear on it so they'll last forever. On a side note I've been thru 2 sets of tires at 49K miles, but I've also switched out tires a few times.
My mom's sunfire is at 36K and the stock tires it came with are now in need of replacing.
You can pick up a set of steelies to put em on cheap, and then switch em out when you go to an autox/trackevent, or cruising.
High performance tires WEAR FAST!

I got 48k out of the factory RS-A and they still weren't showing the wear bars when I replaced them. What are you doing to eat tires like that? As long as you buy tires with a tread life warranty, you should be getting some sort of pro-rating on the replacements. You should easily be getting 25k out of performance tires unless you just flat out drive the piss out of them. You should be getting 35k-45k out of all season performance tires.
on my 17s ive had tires on there for like 40k and they still looked good. you should check your suspension and make sure everything is good and aligned.
my stock rsa's lasted about 60K, now i have lemans hr's on lol. just waitin to get those rims ive been wanting lol

On my last J I had Goodyear Regatta 2's. That brand is discontinued, but I'm sure that Goodyear offers a similar one now. I rode on them for about 45,000-50,000 miles. They were $90/tire.

The best way to solve this hole problem is to get another job,why not work in a factory rtc are try and get a office job where you can just set all day and give your car a break.
the rsa's lasted 87km on my cav, then the previous owner threw on cooper classic 2's...

I give up...

For one, get your car aligned. My brand new 18s are wearing down tremendously in the front, but I know my vehicle needs aligned. Tires shouldn't wear down that quickly no matter what brand they are.
If you have 16s, then go to Wal-Mart, get some BF Goodrichs--they should come w/ a warranty. Get them balanced and rotated regularly... what is it? Every 3 oil changes? & if the tires STILL wear down, they will replace them for $35 a piece. Which still is $$, but it's not as much as it could be. That's exactly what I did when I had my 16s. The tires I had lasted a pretty good while even w/ my car needing aligned. My right front tire wore down to the wire and Wal-Mart replaced it, no questions asked, for $35.
But mainly when u do get new tires- get your car aligned (about $70), then get your tires balanced and rotated every 8-9k miles (I think Wal-Mart does it for free the first time).

I have my second set of Goodyear Eagle GT II on my 98 Z. I have almost 80000 miles. If you are running through tires that often, something is wrong. I am up for getting new tires and am looking at getting the BFGoodrich Traction TA. They have a tread life of 60000 miles. If those are what you are running, again I say, there is something wrong.

RIP Specks
stop rippin on them and roasting the tread off of them....lol

Ive got the Traction T/A's, less than 1k miles on them, but no issues, they grip beautifully. Im thinking your wheel bearing might be bad, its what caused the wear on my old tires (bought the car with 3 Kelly's and one Continental) the old Fronts which had a lot of wear due to the wheel bearing were on the back, which were quickly replaced by the two good front Kellys, and two T/A's for the front, now ive got 4, and shes wonderful. Those tires are supposed to last 60-70k miles though.
I.m gonna catch flack for this, but I work at a tire shop that sells Goodyears, we have a tire that suposedly has an 80k treadlife warrenty. it's called the Assurance Tripletread. Its pretty cool looking and has 3 tread zones, on for dry cornering, one for wet weather, and on for snow. Problem is they're kinda expensive.
i have stock 15's on mine. i got some dayton daytona hr's.(205/60r15) there a H rated directional. i drive them fairly hard and have about 25k on them. i've done my fair share of e-brake burnouts and i use them when i drag race.(they hook up very well) i keep them balaned a i rotate them every other oil change. i don't think there even down to half tread yet. either you beat the piss out of it or those tires just suck.
oksoi replaced thetires (traction tas)for bf goodwrench g forces about 320 4 four tires so i should be good now free alignment to now the only prob is i have to get snow tire for winter cause there a summer tire
Do you know what punctuation is?
And they would be BF Goodrich G Forces, not Goodwrench...that would be GM.
Air Pressure, Alignment, tire rotation...should last longer than that. Where are they wearing out? outside inside middle front back?
first off i delivered pizzas for a short time and its the best money i ever made at any job, i rarely walked away at the end of a shift with less than 50 in my pocket from tips, good nights you could make upwards of a 100 a night, plus you get your pay check at the end of 2 weeks and makin 7 or 8 and hour plus 1 dollar for every delivery you make, plus you keep all your tips, man you make out like a villian at the end of the weak. as for tire wear man thats nuts, i have soft ass falkens on my car, i mean they wear out FAST if you abuse them at all and i get atleast 40,000 miles out of a set of tires, i bought my car with 79,000 miles on it and the falkens still had the stubbys so i'm assuming they were new or close to it, and at 104,000 or so i put a new set of falkens on, mine still had alittle life in them but they were getting alittle thinner than i liked. deffinatly get your car checked out asap not only is it unsafe to have it wearing tires like that, whatevers causing it could cause you to have a serious accident or cause a saftey issue.
J~
so your saying your a light weight huh?
