Red wheel, polished lip
Tuesday, December 27, 2005 7:03 PM
Im considering a red wheel, with polished lip...unfortunatly, i cant find @!#$ anywhere.

I have the option of powdercoating a wheel, or painting it....but to get the polished lip look, not sure what ide do there.

anyone have any comments about this?

or where ide even begin to look into this....?

Please for the sake of the greatness of your car don't do it.
I've seen it on alot of Teggies and h/b civics but just don't like the look at al.
More than likely they would powdercoat the rim and machine the paint back off the wheel if I was guessing.

^^ hes right. find a company that can powder coat it. after that they will machine and polish the lip. I dont think that sounds good, but hey what ever floats your boat.

look into rota gt3;s they come in red with polished lip, and as far as poweredcoating, you could just have the entire rim coated, then sand down the lip and polish it. hope that helps

i guess you ccould get black with a polished lip then just powercoat the black part to red. i know geeds has red w/ black lip. i personally think you should go with black with polished but if your set of red try what i said...that might work.

^^ That would look so hot! Get some similar wheels or go with other wheels that you liked and get them powdercoated red to something like that.

Joe, thanks for the link, but i already had those red center caps, when i got them and held them next to the car, they looked more pinkish.

Here is a screen shot from 2 Fast 2 Furious with the BMW in the background...This is kinda what I was thinking...
