So before I took my wheels off for the winter, I scraped a curb and got a decent amount of curb damage. It's all scraped up and all. Is there a way to have it like sanded a bit and smoothed out?
if its deep it has to be replated
Replaced.... With my rims, if i get worried about hitten a curb, i would rather be sticken out from the curb alot, rather than have to worry about not hitten them while tryin to park. So next time just give your self a nice cushion zone.
if its deep you need to get it tig welded grind it sand it and repainted/finnish it
Would a pic be more helpful? I can post one.
the first and only time i have let a chick drive my car she gets a curb, i took it to a repair place the added material to it some how then grinded and touch up painted it. cost 50 bucks but much less than a new rim (still gotta re place the tire with the sidewall gouge)
That should be able to be ground smooth.

True, not bad at all.
I had my rims (on my contour) curbed by a [censored] valet parker (work conference). Boy was I pissed off. I didnt notice it until the next day!!!! So now if I valet I let them know to becareful and most of the time I just park it!
