NanKang NS-1 Treadwear: 340 Traction: A Temperature: A Speed: HR
Nexen N3000 Treadwear: 340 Traction: A Temperature: A Speed: W/Y
Hankook K106 Treadwear: 340 Traction: A Temperature: A Speed: H
i put the specs with it cuz i have no clue what the 340 for the treadwear means is that good average poor treadlife? does any one have any of these and if so which one and do they grip and handle well. here is the link of what they look like
here
thanks in advance
Nankangs are cheap i dont like them. Hankooks aren't to bad. Not really my cup of tea. It all depends on what you want
and the 340 Treadwear
The treadwear rating is a measurment of the tires durability, not to the projected life. (tread life is deterimend by driving habits.)
Grades are provided in 20 point increments and range from as low as 40 to as high as 620

All of those tires are junk, I wouldn't base my tire choice on price.

...don't hate!.. respect people that have talent, even if it is in something you don't like or understand.
Treadwear rating is set by the manufacturer, so unless you are comparing within a certain brand, the numbers are not something to base a decision on.
One of my friends had a set of Nankang tires he got from Discount Tire. I am not sure on the model. He called them Nankang "Maypops", since he replaced 3 out of 4 due to them being junk. He was not an aggressive driver by any means.
IMO, I would look at other tire options.
well i wasnt basing them based on price. i just dont wanna spend 150 or more a piece on tires for an everyday driver. i just want something with a more aggressive tread. but thanks ill look at some other brands
Nankang NS-2 are not bad tires, had them on my 18's for two years until poor alignment killed them.
