I don't want comments about ride quality and all that I just want to know if anyone has put 245's under a cavalier. Its got B&G 1.6 inch lowering springs. and probably getting 16 inch rims so probably a 245/45R16...but has anyone got 245's under their cavy

well i work at a tire shop so it'll be no problem to throw them on and check if it don't work take em off and go with 235's cause thats what i had on my 17's i asked at work yesterday if they thought it would work cause i don't think we've ever done it there and they figured it would but i figured i would come on here just to double check

mike, if u have access to a shop, why not just mount them up first.

if you werent dropped, id say ya, more than likely they would fit. but with a drop, i could see there being some rubbing.

well cause the car is stored right now...and with it being lowered its about a half hour-45 minute ordeal to get it out hahaha just wondering if anyone could shed some luight on the subject so we don't order in the tires at work and then they don't fit...know what i mean

Thats a good bit of rubber. I'd say your gonna have to drop it first and then just check.

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

mike, do the measurements. go get the tire calc. i posted up a little while ago.

with the info you have at your shop, plus the claculator i made, you can find out if it fits.

take the claculator measure ments, which will fin out how wide your 245 will actually measure on the 8" or 8.5" rim your putting it on. then, take the number you get for the width, toss in your offset, then take a measuring tape to your car to see if it will fit.

this is why i made this spreadsheet, so you can figure out stuff like this with out having to mount it up first and then be pissed because it wont fit.

the links for the claculator and the how to guide are on that post. let me know if you have any trouble using it.
