one is 18x7.5 and a +42 offset and one is 18x8.5 and a +35 offfset which one will work out better with a j body?
by better i mean with the offset though
also the width, the 8.5 is pushing it hence why i said 7.5"
the offset on the 7.5" isnt a problem
35mm means the rim will sit out farther
what off set would work best when my car is dropped roughly 2.5-3 inches all the way around. i want 18's for sure but i dont want it to rub at all and not stick out of the fender any
+35 or +48 offset is what the wheels im looking at have for options
it is 18x7.5 with a +35 or +48 offset is what the wheels im looking at have for options and i i will be running 225/40/18 rubber
if you plan on being dropped up to 3in (which is alot if your not on bags) then get the 48mm offset. your probably gonna rub if your that low. it might be close. 2.5" i think you would be fine. to be safer you can run a 215/40/18 instead of a 225/40/18. the 215 is a slightly smaller tire but it will still keep everything accurate
hunting for wheels is starting to piss me right off those wheels arent in stock.
would a +42 offset be safe and you suggest 215/40/18 rubber?
^^^you have no idea. try finding a set of 19's to fit with air, lol. ive been looking for 2 months and still cant find anything.
so i guess im gonna settle for 18's
42mm offset should be fine if its a 7.5" width
and id do 225 /40/18 personally, but you can get away with either
