which width would be best i know that 17x9 would give me more tire to the road but thats 300 dollars more when i can get the 17x7.5 for 480 plus shipping.....does that 1.5 inches make a difference?

just get the 17x7.5 if that's what your price limit is set too. you can always get wider tires if you want. this calculator will show you the differences in sizes and help you keep your wheel/tire combo the right height to keep your speedo right.

It's only too wide if you want it to be.

I'm going to be running 18x9's with somewhere between +30 and +20 offset, custome made, of course, no one makes those in 5x100 bolt pattern.

Those 17x9 wheels will fit, they're +20 offset. You'll probably have to roll and pull your fender though.

I'd run a 245/40-17 tire on that.

On the 9"

On a 7.5" I'd run a 225/45

I'd actually run a 225/45 on a 9" but that's because I like the stretched JDM look.
