ok i am getting 18 inch rims for my 04 cav, i looked at the sticky and saw the 2 best tire sizes are 215/40/18 and 225/40/18, i know the only real diffrence is the side wall heigth, just wondering if anyone has some pics of there cars with 18,s and on of these tires on it so i can see the diffrence and what do u guys think would be better to get. thanks

Search through this forum and the photos forum, there are a lot of people with 18's.

Most people run 225/40R18's. I will be next month.

Well, I like the 215's on show cars, but on cars that look like they'll just burn rubber all day long, then i like the 225's....IMO

Go with the 225's. They're going to ride a little better, and fill your wheel well a little better.

Also, sidewall height isn't the only difference. You will have a little more tread area because the tire is just over 1/3" wider. You didn't mention what rim width you are getting. That makes a little bit of a difference in tire width choice.

sorry i plan on getting the exel rh-5's but that is still up in the air.
