I have a 2000 cavalier LS with 14" wheels, and i was wondering how big of a wheel I can run without brakes, speedometer, or wheel well run occuring, any help would be greatly appreciated.
ummmmmmm......................................... 225/35/19
as far as the brake upgrade..........HIGHLY recommend it but not a need too deal. Speedo will be right on. You can even drop it 2" with this set up no rubbing. Hope this helps....................by the way everyone else will tell you to SEARCH!!!
you can fit up to 20s on a jbody. i say if you run 19s or 20s you should get a bbk. plus they look really nice behind a good wheel. if you get the correct tire size then the speedo wont be off. as for rubbing, again if you get the correct tire size you should be good. only thing you have to worry about when you start getting into the 18, 19 and 20 inch rims are offests
what's important is the outer diameter of the tires.
Correct ration for 17's is a 225/45R17, 215/45R17 is also acceptable.
Also big brakes look good but if you want to save some money, some powerslots with Hawk Pads will do the trick of slowing you down faster.
