FWD/RWD

This is probably a dumb question, but is there a differance between a wheel being used on a fwd or rwd? I heard someone tell me a wheel made for one couldnt be used on the other? I was under the impression that as long as the offset and width where correct they would work either way? Someone help me out please.

you are correct, if the offset is right, than your pretty much golden...

FWD cars normally have positive offset (or negative, its one of the 2, but like 90% sure its positive).

RWD cars usually have a negative or centerline offset, which is no offset at all (distance from the flange to the outside surface of the rim is the same as the distance to the inside surface of the rim.

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!

great...you would be surprised how many people I have asked and they have no idea. So as long as the offset is good then Im good to go. Thanks
