so right now im rolling on big bad 15's...i thought about going two up...17's...
18's popped in my mind but who knows maybe later...i leaning towards 17's right now..but i still want that smooth ride. i dont want to feel the little rocks i run over you know...whats a good tire size??
215/45-17
215/50-17
or
225/45-17
or if theirs a different size i should look into let me know...
Closest to stock is 225/45/17.

225/45-17's are good. a little bit wider for traction. if you're worried about road noise, stick with the 215's. less contact patch on the road, so they'll be a bit quieter. stick with the 45-series to keep your speedometer relatively close when switching to the 17's.

if he went with a taller tire (i.e. 50-series), the overall diameter will change, and throw the speedometer off.

right if you get a smaller size tire or bigger size tire then the overall diameter is off and it will cause your speedo and your odometer to be off
is it the same ratio with 18's...i can either have 215/40-18 ...having less impact on the road(quite smooth ride) or 225/40-18 for wider traction and better handling??
get the 225/45/17 , more meat to fill in the gaps , and protect the wheels your getting
