Rims & Drag Radials?
Monday, May 22, 2006 4:43 PM
Alright guys I have spent the past 3 days searching and reading and I even looked through the sticky's. I am on the market for some black 5 spoke rims with no chrome lips or anything like that just all black. I like these ones http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Motegi&wheelmodel=LC5+%2D+Teflon+Black and they are the style I am going for. Does anybody else know of any companys that sell any 16 or 17 inch black 5 spoke rims for maybe a little cheaper? I plan to mount a set of BF Goodrich G Force Drag Radials to them also. Thanks in advance for the help.

If your gonna use them for drag radials then get a set of lightweight 15s or 14s and use them for the track only. BFG DRs aren't gonna last long on the street with daily use.

I saw that and i was interested but wouldn't 14's slow down my top speed?

Not really. I've run 114MPH on the top end before. They are slightly smaller so the gearing changes A LITTLE and will actually help the accel a little.

I'm pretty sure you could pick up some Rota Slipstreams cheaper than that, and they're pretty easy to find used as well. There was a thread here in the last two months that linked a site with pretty good pricing on them.

Ya I saw those on ebay and thought they only came in a 4 lug and I really liked those and the price. I did a google search and found them. Thanks.
