thinking about purchasing a new set of tires, i've been riding on 215/40/18's for almost 3 yrs now with no problems. am i gaining anything from going from a 215 to 225 as far as a lil more rubber. or ist it just a preference, because when ipurchased my wheel and tires back in 02,the shop told me that the 215/40/18's would stay within the stock diameters. but sorta would like to see if ti wouldbe much of a visual difference..

well there is a difference. if you get the 225 it will give you a slightly wider tire and slightly bigger side wall

You'll gain just short of 1/2" of tread patch and gain .1" of sidewall.

From 195/70r14 to 215/40/18

From 195/70/r14 to 225/40r18
