Help with 18's Fast!!!!!

Very quick question. I can get a great deal on a set of 18" tires, but I think they will rub. They are going on a 18", 7.5 35offset wheel. The tire size is: 235/50ZR18 Major rubbing problems on a 2004 sunfire?????

I don't know about rubbing -- though I imagine it would, or would have to be darn close at the very least. What I do know is that the diameter is out to lunch, and you'll be somewhere close to 10% too slow on your speedo.

The speedo I can live with. These are take offs from a new mustang, bf goodrich g-forces. It is looking like I could get all 4 for about $250, but if they won't fit they are worthless to me.

they may rub since its a wider and higer tire than recommened plus the low offset. honestly just stick to the right tire sizes. even if these do fit, your going to have rubbing problems when you hit bumps. not to mention the speedo is going to be off and the tires are gonna cause your car to work harder than needed since the tires is larger then needed. stick to a 225/40/18

I ended up winning the auction for $200. I may try to fit them in, or just sell them and buy a better size.
