So as many of you may or may not know I am workin or attempting to work on a GXP conversion. Things ofcourse are slow with school and all and because I am stuck lookin for certain parts. I did how ever find the Mille Miglia EVO rims, which are the exact rims used by GM on the prototype car. The price on eBay is 700 for a used set of 4 with no skin. The Rims originally went for $750 new with no skin, back when MM was still in business. Do you really think it is a fair price? I'm going to get in contact with the guy and will see if he has any better pics and if there really is any damage, these rims are very hard to come by now and I really want them, but not looking to get shafted and find that one of the rims are bent out or something.
I posted the link below so you guys can take a look and maybe give your opinions.

I'd want to see more pictures. the guy has a feedback rating of 0, which would make me wary of him.

yea thats what Im sayin. He could either A.) Just made the account to sell of the rims. or B.) Takin the pic at the tire shop, (which it does) to try and hustle some people.
He did put a phone # in, so should you be inclined to call....

Yea a saw those, they are the "sport" version. I was didn't look farther into them since their offset was 50+. From what info I gained from the site I don't believe a 50+ offset will work on the J. Unless it is just due to the design of the rim's spokes. Might be the better route if someone can clarify it for me.
So I got a hold of the guy, he wants the $700, one rim has rash and no skin. He says he paid 1000 for them and its a good price. I'm waitin for some more pics, before I go for anything.
no way they are worth $700....maybe half that....
def not worth that. the repair to the curbed rim is $100 on top of what ever you pay for them.

Where would I go to get the rim fixed? Probably a dumb question, but I'd like to know, so maybe I can consider them since they are very rare rims now to find.
EXESIVE FIRE (Andy Brooks) wrote:that rim is fubared.... and you cant get them anymore..
which is prob why he is selling
and on top of that. what if YOU do something to the wheels
Yea very very true, it looks like I may have to go the course of a "modified" GXP project and get as much as I can get done and just invest in another set of rims. Because I don't favor the TSW the much and CSA doesn't want to help me out at all. So we'll see as the project continues... Thanks as always guys.

na the guy is from Cali. I'm asking him to snap a few more pics so I can gather more info on the curbed rim and see if the rim truly is bent up and if there is any structural damage. I want to send the pics out to a few shops and see if they can fix it. If so, the GXP Project may still have a 1:1 conversion status.
I'll keep you guys posted.
my opinion.... buy the rims, and try to find another one to match them, and turf the fudged one(s)... if you're that set on getting them because they're rare, it would be worth it.
