Sorry, searching "stock offset" results in nothing. Looking to buy wheels to replace the 15" steel ones on my girlfriend's 01 Sunfire SE Coupe. I can get the factory tire size from the Fed Safety Cert Label in the door jamb and I read here that the lug pattern is 5x100 with thread pattern M12x1.5, but I'm having trouble finding what the offset of the stock wheels is. Anyone got it? Thanks.
My favorite mod on my girlfriend's Sunfire is when I pull the non-OEM floor mat out from being bunched up underneath the gas pedal so I can floor it. It really changes the car.
not sure why you need the stock offset if you are getting new rims because you can use alot of different offsets on js
I'm not 100% but I thought I read somewhere on a chart that the stock offset for the Js with was +42. But don't quote me on that.
what would be a good offset to use if I bought 18" rims?
i thought someone told me or i read it on here one time that the factory offset is 48, i could be wrong though..as for what offset for 18's go with 42 or higher for any clearance issues

Sorry to jack the thread, I've been curious of my LS Sport 16" offest. Just to compare how new wheels with different widths/offets will look.
I also need to know the Stock offset of my 16" Z wheels...So I can Compare the difference.
Stock 16" wheels offset is +42mm
the z24 01's at least for the 16's are +47 if that helps, looked at a wheel sitting beside me right now
not sure of the 15's though, should be close.
I would imagine all the 16's would have the same offset for the cavs as far as factory goes.
for 18's, alot of people use a 42 offset with usually about a 7 or 7.5 width.
I am going with 17X8's with a 45 offset, should fit nicely I think
cheers
