so, should i paint the rear drum or not? i got a 99 Z24 and the front pads are getting changed
i'm painting the front calipers and was wonderin' if i should paint the rear as well?
can't afford a complete brake kit right now but in the future, i'll get rear rotors and all that good looking stuff

Paint the drums black, it looks better than rust. Bright colors will highlight the drum, and it's not exactly something you want to highlight.
If you paint the drums then you will look like a ricer. Drums aren't really performance oriented and ya kinda don't wanna highlight em, so 'nuff said.

im thininking about painting mine flat black so it hides the rust but doesnt make them stand out.

Yeah, because painting them black so they don't have rust all over them makes you a ricer.
If they were painted yellow, red, blue, hot pink, orange or any of those colors, then it would be rice.
A color that does not stand out would be nothing, my drums are painted black on my Camaro, and I am glad they are because the drums are plainly visible with my 211's on there. Now I just need to get a hold of my calipers because they are the color of rust, and it looks retarded.

My friends Eclipse has his rear drums painted red. It looks nice with his white rims and doesn't stick out too much.
