Got a 99' OHV 2.2L. Have lemans on them right now.....do drag radial t/a tires really make a big difference? Any advice would be great thanks.
Um.... you do realize that drag radials are meant for the drag strip right?
If you mean to take your car on the strip, then yes drag radials will help improve your time, but as far as daily driving...NO. They cost way too much money for you to drive on the street with them, and you would be replacing them every 10k miles or so. They DO NOT last very long.
yea i know that. i was wondering if they are a good pick for the strip. Also what is your take on daily driving tires. what would be a good tire to choose for that?
Well then yes drags are good for the strip.
As far as daily street tires...it all depends on what you want from them and what kind of wheel your running with.
If you have the stock 195/65/14 or something like that...I would go with a Michelin Harmony. Or something like that. There is another post here where I explain all that
PM me and let me know what rims you got and what your lookn for in a tire.
Bridgestone Potenza G009's or RE050. Both are superb for around town driving. I have Bridgestone Potenza G009's on my stock 15" rims and they handle quite well. They're an all season tire and they have one of the best snow ratings of all A-S tires. They are great if you want something that handles great without bad ride quality.
