im looking for some lugnuts where the insides as well as the outsides do not rust. anyone know of any? i can find the some where just the outsides are good but not the whole thing.
do yourself a favor and dont buy crappy lugs. spend the money and get a set of mcgard spline drive lugs. best money you'll spend.
i dont believe they make any lug nuts like you are talking about. i havent come across them atleast.

really, that would be wierd if the dont make lugs that dont rust inside the hole.
dont buy lugs that the keys fit into. they suck and they always rust. get lugs where you need a socket type key that slides over the whole lug.

... and even those need to be a step-up from the cheapest ones out there. I got some cheap socket-style lugs that got through about 6-months before the finish started flaking off. After that, they were rusted in no time.

If you do, NEVER USE AN IMPACT ON THEM. The force of the impact will cause the grooves in the socket to break or crack.. if you take your car to a shop, specifically request that an impact is not used, and for added safety, watch and make sure they don't. The guys may not like you watching, I know I don't like people watching me, but if it were my car.. your damn right I would be right there.

i'll be the first to say that with the 25 times i've taken off the fronts in a time span of 2 months (i had a few problems with my nwf swap lol), and the 10 times i've taken off the rears in the same 2 months (damn daytonas!), my gorillas look, feel, and thread like if they're brand new.

I had ones before where you inserted a key into them, i broke 2 of those keys right off inside the lug nuts... Piles of junk.
My mcgard spline drives are 3 years old or so, all of them have rust and one had to be replaced because the thread was shot on the inside. With that being said they are still far better then the old tuner lugs i had.
yeah, gorilla is the number 1 name in lug nuts, but they are aluminum and chrome plated, so they can rust, especially if u drive them in the winter.
McGard > Gorilla
I have spline drives on both my cars. One thing I really liek about them is built into the lugs themselves is like an attached washer kinda thing so once it starts geting tight on the wheel it doesn't snip against the wheel itself. Very very high quailty stuff.. I have the black spilne drive locks with lugs... $100 per car (16 lugs and 4 locks) but I've always been one to spend more for quality stuff. Last thign you want to do is cheap out on lugs, have one break and @!#$ up your wheel trying to chisel the lug off.
the reason they don't use stainless is because you would never get them off. sometimes i have to use stainless bolts and nuts at work. i don't know why but when you torque down a stainless bolt or nut then try to loosen it it will not budge and break everytime, even if you just tightened it 5 minutes before. so no stainless lugnuts
