btw I just weighed them compared to stock (the scale is off but works for comparisions) these compared to stock 14's metal (not the steelies, the older silver metal 14's without proper air pressure) the 17's wheels and tires with air int hem are 3 lbs lighter
nice weight difference!
i was also looking into getting some neo gens for autoX. how do you like them?
I don't knwo they are not on the car yet/ I'm waiting on a replacement Koni Yellow, I have to put that in and then put it control arm bushings before I can align it at work. After I align it the wheels and tires go on (asuuming the MCGard tuner locks and lugs come in the mail by then)
these tires kick ass, very happy with them
I've got the same wheels and some 225/45/17 tires...any rubbin issues Darkstars?
well if you go low enough you'll rub on just about anything, but no, no rubbing issues
I just got the wheels and tires today. Gonna get the center bored out to fit the hubs tomorrow and then possibly mount them. Also will the center caps fit on? I heard there was some issues with that. I'm on Sportlines btw, so I'm not sure if they'd rub or not. Got the wheels and tires for $250.
not sure which axles are in your car but on the newer ones (my 04's) the axle nub sticks out about an inch past the end of the axle nut, I had to cut off the nub. On the older style that don't poke out all crazzy you'll be fine.
and with sporltines you shouldn't have any rubbing problems
Thanks for the advice. I figured we'd have to cut a little of that nub off to get the center caps to go on. I went ahead and got some 215/45/17 tires cause the 225's were worn pretty good.
