14" wheels ???
Saturday, January 26, 2008 9:41 AM
Hey guys,

Im looking into getting a set of M&H cheater slicks in 235/60/14, now the problem is finding a set of wheels to put them on. I don't really wanna have to run them on steelies.

Ive had a hell of a time finding a set of aftermarket 14" rims, everything seems to be for 4x100 when you get down that small.

Question is, does anyone know of a company that makes 14" wheels? preferably something lightweight? since they will be used only for drag racing.

Thanks!

steelies = heavy

Plus our stock 14's are what 5.5 inches wide?...M&H recommends a 6.5 inch rim.

Anyone else?

why not get a 15" rim?

98% of drag tires and slicks are in a 15" diameter.

14s are the odd ball size.. same with 16s

M&H tires makes a 235/60/14 which is almost identical to our correct tire diameter, this is the reason i want them so i don't run into clearance issues.

Not to mention they would also be lighter over all and have less rotational mass that a 15" combo, plus have extra side wall (im not worried about snapping axles tho i would like to prevent it as much as possible).

The tires I'm speaking of can be found here--> http://www.mandhtires.com/store.php?crn=73&rn=310&action=show_detail

Someone must know of some wheels??

Find a set of Calais 442 wheels. My "beater" has a set right now for winter use. Gotta love a 13# stock wheel.
