Hey guys I just picked up a set of MR7's and they came with lugs but i was wondering if I need hub rings and if so where would be the best place to get them...thanks
yes. 1010tires.com has a bunch. i believe the motegis are 73.1 and our hub is 57.1
what does the hub rings do I have never had to buy them for my rim before?

Hey bud, you shouldn't need the hub rings, yeah it would be best but not neccesary. You can center the wheel with the lugs. But you still think you need the hub rings, give me a call at Goodyear in Haines City, FL. 863-422-4965 My name is Carlos, iam a sales advisor.
it helps lower any high speed vibrations and it centers the wheel on the hub and not the lugs. its strongly recommened to get them. without them then the wheel is centered on the studs which adds more stress to the studs causing them to shear off. hub rings will prevent this
Aftermarket wheels have a larger hub opening than the stock hub size. A hub ring fills the extra space, allowing your car's hub to physically hold the wheel center and provide extra support. While the wheel studs/lugs can typically do this alone (and many do go without hubrings), it helps reduce the odds of vibrations problems and stud stress/breakage. For the small cost, I'd recommend tracking down a set.

Just, don't get plastic ones, they have a tendency to break apart. Carlos, you give exGoodyear employees a bad name.

Never had this problem. I have heard of the metal ones rusting your hub though

The cheap ones, yes, get the aluminum ones. Oh, and I have seen the plastic ones break apart, it was on a customer car back when I worked for a Goodyear in Chantilly, VA. Fortunitlly, Evolution Autosport was still open at the time, so we were able to get him some new aluminum ones.

^exactly, when i got my rims i called them and they just gave me the part number for the set of hub rings i needed, took it to the nearest American Racing/Motegi dealer(ALOT of tire shops are dealers of these wheels) and just gave them the part number and they ordered em for me. They were plastic but strong, i had a wheel break a lug and the others were loose and the wheel was wobbling about 1/2" from the hub at 60mph and only thing the hub ring did was it rubbed off the printed writing on that one. so i personally think the plastic ones are perfectly fine, no corrosion problems with them so i like them better for that reason.
okay i will do
thanks guys.

Hey guys just to let you know I went a Matthews tire center which was a Motegi dealer and I asked where I could find them and it turns out that they could order them for me and they were only 8 bucks
so if you have one local I suggest you stop by and see what they can do.
did you happen to get the size?
