good luck with tires
Wednesday, February 20, 2008 6:37 PM
I was wondering if anyone has had good luck with Nexen tires. They are Nexen n3000 and the other is Nexen n5000 both look like the mich. hydro edge. Im selling my 17s after this season so I dont want to drop $400 on new rubber. also if it helps the tread wear is 360 and 420 traction is AA. I work at a tire place but I cant touch the price on this for the mileage warr. thanks

I have been running them for about 3 years now..i have had no issues with them..For the price you cant go wrong..Just make sure when you order them..To get the ones with a extra load on the side wall..it will make the ride a bit more harsh..But when you want to rally get into the corners the side wall will be alot stronger..

I'm runnning the N5000... Gives a decent ride, and a good feeling in the corners.

Be aware they're more "performance-luxury" oriented, rather than all-out performance. Still, they handle great!

do you have any problems with hyrdo plaining or anything else, I like the tread pattern on the n3000 more than the other two, maybe ordering in couple of weeks.

I just bought a set of N5000's for my car, and have been really happy with them. I was a bit skeptical myself, but I bought them from a shop I trust, and the shop manager told me that they had a history of being good tires. He'd run them on a lot of his sport compacts with no issues. They're good and quiet, and I've had no issues in the water or the snow since I've put them on.

We sell them all the time on cars at our shop. I have them on my other sunfire. Love 'em. I haven't heard of any complaints about them from customers at work either. BTW I have the N5000
