Difference in 15 inch Yokohamas
Thursday, April 17, 2008 7:20 AM
Taking a look at some new tires, just wonder what the difference/advantages/disadvantages are between a 215/60-15 Yokohama YK520 and a 215/60-15 Yokohama AVID H4S. Depending on what everyone says about these two I may or may not just go back to the Falken Ziex 512. Actually liked this tire quite a bit, just wanted to see what everyone thought. Thanks!

I use to run AVID 205-55-r16 and liked them a lot. They worked pretty good in the snow also. Never had YK520s.
I currnetly run ES100 225-50-r16 and love them in the summer and rain. Snow=death.

i have the 520's. they seemed to work just fine in the rain and pretty decent in the snow.. never got stuck. only spun when i tried to or on ice patches... they are pretty soft/spongie feeling tho

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm not sure what I should get though. I live in Virginia so we do have some snow and ice but since summer is just around the corner I'm really not too worried about that. Has anyone driven with both? I'm really looking for a 'which one is better' cause they're both the same price.

*bump* Anyone used both? Ordering pretty soon, just need a few last minute opinions.
