17x8 35mm offset?
Saturday, April 19, 2008 5:19 PM
I tried searching and couldn't find what i was looking for exactly. I'm looking into getting a new set of wheels. They are 17x8 with a 35mm offset. I know this is a little on the low side for a Jbody but, Will this fit with out rubbing? will it stick out and look weird? Also what tire would you recommend with this set up? 215/45/17 or a 225/45/17? Thanks for the help!

It'll looks fine as far as the offset goes and it won't rub at all.

Tire size depends...225 gives you a little more sidewall while 215 gives you more of a low profile look. Either one is fine though.

ive got 215's on on my 17x7's... id say go with the 225's just because youve got a little wider rim...

I'm just worried that with the 8in wheel width and the 35mm offset that it could rub in the front or slice a tire in the rear. I'm lowered on sportlines btw. Is any one else running this size with a drop? I would hate to spend my hard earned money on somthing that doesn't fit right lol. Does any one have a picture of this set up?
thanks
