42mm offset?

looking at some wheels i noticed the offset was +42 what does that mean in relation to fitting my cav.

17x7 rim
+42 offset
5x100

will these wheels sit in further/out further compared to stock. i dont want them sitting outside of the fenders or anything rediculous. thanks.

depending on your suspension theres a good chance it may rub on your perches if you have perches. stick with the 42mm if possible

Yep, from everything I've read 42mm is ideal for our cars...
