These are 18x7.5" Gianna wheels that i'm thinkin of wrapping in Toyo FZ4 225/40/18 tires. All it says for the offset is FWD which could be 35-45mm, i emailed them for the exact measurement. My car is an 01 cavy with bomex rear bumper and side skirts and xenon front bumper, i'm planning on lowering it 1" in front and 1.5" in back. You guys think i'll have fitment/rubbing issues there? need fender rolled? general opinions of the wheel/tire combo? I can get Falken and Nitto tires in the same dimensions any opinions on which is more reliable? These are the first rims i've put on a car and the first time i've lowered a car, so any input would be helpful, i picked those sizes based off the FAQ on wheels and tires.

i dont think those wheels would like good on a cav but its your car and the wheel you like so go with it. 225/40/18 is the correct tire size you need and also try to get them in say a 42 or 45mm offset. dont forget when you lower your car to get new struts. your not going too low so a set of kyb agx struts will work nicely. oh and dont forget hub rings, they may or may not send them to you. there fairly cheap and i prefer the plastic ones over the metal ones. just make sure you find the center bore size for the wheel so you can order the right ones. you'll need hub rings that have a 57.1mm inner diameter and an outer diameter of whatever the center bore of the wheel is. last but not least are lugs. more than likely your stock lugs will not work with these. you'll need tuner lugs that are 12mm x 1.5mm. i prefer the mcgard spline drive kits but their a tad pricey but well worth the money. do not get open end lugs as the key usually breaks off inside the lug.
I concure.... not so nice on the cav

ok, thanx guys, just outta curiosity, you don't think the 42mm offset would rub on the inside of the wheel well or the suspension since it's a wider wheel and tire than stock? It doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of room between the spring and the wheel. I checked another place and i can get those rims in a 40mm offset. And the suspension setup that i'm going with is the ground control coilovers with Koni yellow struts so i can drop it down lower when i take it to shows and stuff. I didn't know about the hub ring, but i have the tuner lugs from Gorilla automotive

no you'll be fine. 7.5" wide is not that bad
I like these, but does anyone know of rims like this without the fake rivots? I can only get these in 8" wide, any problems there with the setup i'm thinkin about?

I dont care for chrome unless its on a SUV, If i were u i would get a nice set of black or gold rims with a chrome lip, or black rims with a lip that matches the color of your car
