might be getting a set of tires free, not worried about the speedometer issue, im lowered about 1.5" all around
the wheels i have are 17x7 with a 48mm offset.
the tires offered free are a set of bridgestone potenza's 215 50 R17
or possibly 225 50 17. not sure if they will fit the car, do you think its worth a shot? free tires, brand new, no frills, not to upset if they dont fit perfectly just as long as they dont rub,
def get 225's or maybe 235? eh..
I'm curious as to why these tires are free, like do they come with wheels, why only those sizes but I guess it doesn't really matter.
But anyways
Stock:
14x6", 5x100, ET 45
16x6", 5x100 ET 42
Looks like you'd have (14" stock):
Inner Clearance: 16mm LESS (the inside of the wheel to the strut housing)
Outer Position: EXTEND an extra 10mm (position of the outside edge of the wheel)
With your current wheels.
And
Click Here for Tire sizing using your stock diameter, which is either 195/70/14 or 195/65/15 and do some measuring!
To actually make it correct with a 50 series, your going to have to go smaller like a 175 or 185 to make it correct, if they even make those sizes. But depending on what your doing with the car, depends on what size you want to go with.
Have fun!
I miss her^
And 235/50's are going to be huge, and definitely pushing it!
I miss her^
its alright guys, the tires ended up being 225/55/17's bridgestone turanza. so they wont fit, nor would i try it.
i used to work at a tire store, and my friend keeps old tires which people bring in with decent tread. these bridgestones were replaced with michellins a month ago, because the person who had just bought the car, did not like them. so they had roughly 85 miles on them.
i wish it worked out, but it didnt, so im looking again.
thanks!
