Just a heads up. I bought a set of wheels from my cousin to put on my 1998 Z24. They came off his 2003 Subaru WRX STI. Jbodys and WRXs share the same bolt patterns and offsets. The only difference is the hub ring size is larger on a jbody. I knocked the rings out and put the wheels on without them. My car rides fine, but you have to be cautious when torquing the wheels to make sure they center on the lug nuts. I have no problems running a 225/40R18 tire.
J-Body owner......Ford Mechanic!! Somebody has to keep 'em running!!
ive got the regular wrx wheels and i had to bore the centers out but they look nice
^^ um... see his sig?
and since everyone seems to be on some "pics to prove it" power-trip:

In 2005 Subaru changed the bolt pattern, so yes the '03 rims would be 5x100 with a +53 offset.
Seeing as how the Center bore / hub diameter of a WRX/STi is 56.1 and the J-body is 57.1. I don't see how they would fit properly without being bored out slightly.
Now if you are saying that you knocked out a hubcentric ring from the rim before installing them, this leads me to believe that the "STi" wheels that you have are not bored to the hub diameter of the STi which is why they required a hubcentric ring to sit properly on the original car. Which means that they were not "factory" wheels to begin with. This might be because the STi package actually used BBS wheels with a different center cap.
You should take a caliper tool to get the actual rim bore and match it to a 57.1 hub ring before you end up fatiguing your bolts and hub at highway speeds.
So any sti wheels before 05 work? I want the bronze bbs ones on my car

2002-2004 WRX = 5x100
2005-on WRX = 5x114.3
If you really like BBS wheels just go to your local shop or tirerack and pick a set out.
hate to go off-topic but wow that cavi looks nice. any more pics of the interior/engine?
Yup, those are BBS Sti Wheels.
Looks like its setup for drag racing.

I hope to someday (when I get the money) put some STi rims on my cavi, otherwise maybe an aftermarket brand, or even '00-'04 celica rims... they look pretty cool too. what do you guys think? I have a black 2000 z24...

Rascal look again. That cage is far more elaborate than any drag track requires, and check his rear tires. I say road coarse.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
