ok, so im runnin steelies right now (stock 15's)
are there 16 steelies off another car that would bolt right upor no?
Look into Volkswagen. Jetta maybe or the Passat, they MAY have 16 inch steelies. I think Dodge might have 16 inch steelies too.
I am not too sure, but the vibe is 5x100 and has 16 steelies, just not sure of the hub size, I have never looked
does it really matter for steelies?

does what really matter?
i didnt ask for your opinion just and answer....if you dont have one then keep it to yourself
doesnt the Impala or Monty come with 16's?
would they work?
heres an idea if you wanna be a dick, maybe take some time out and google your own question.
gee in about 5 mins i managed to find that the newer beetles are 16x7 with a 5x100 pattern and a 57.1mm bore.
also 92+ passats are the same. maybe instead of being a dick you could of search like the person above even stated passat.
i asked a simple question because you may be going through alot of trouble for nothing if all your looking to gain is looks and on a steelie that is.
not to mention that if you do happen to go with the vw wheels you will also need new tires since they run a smaller tire on 16s then js do. like i said you may be just wasting your time doing all of this.

are you sure????
you might want to visit google a little
most newer vw's have 205/55R16's,
they will usually go with the same option tire sizes too because they are the same as the j's
might want to check what the offset for the vw's are too, they are usually lower if I am not mistaken(usually by about 7-10 mm I think.
not like that would make a huge difference.
and for the hub size matching, most people don't have any issues if it is larger, but why risk it, and you could get more vibrations if they do not match up well, same reason why you would want to have hub centric rings for aftermarket wheels, better ride less stress on the studs, etc.....

if
I want to be a dick? maye take a second and think about your logic there...i asked a simple that required a simple responce....not your opinion on why would i waste my time on steelies....hmmm....maybe i like how they look...maybe i dont wanna spend the cash on nice wheels when im fine with steelies and would like to run a wider tire....maybe thats the reason...but honestly it doesnt matter why.

ya know what...its not the first time you posted a sarcastic pain in the ass useless post in a thread as opposed to just leaving it alone and moving on....you dont even know what me "being a dick" is like....trust me....if you wanna find out...keep it up

that is the reason i was looking for them....i kind of like how they look and was looking to run a larger tire then the 15's can run

thanks for the info....i appreciate it
no prob,
another plus with the 16's is they might be a little lighter than some of aftermarket wheels(not sure on the weight of steel rims, just guessing) or they might at least have less mass arround the edge of the rim, should help with starting off quicker(maybe not more than the 15's) but at least for a 16 it might be ok.
at least that is my $.02
great, thanks for the help
he wants the 16" steelies b/c the plastics 'spinner hubcaps' don't get any smaller than 16"...
lol...
damn it.....ive been made
Dude get chrome one's if thats what your doing LOL.
Did you find any 16 inch steelies yet?
haha, i may just do that
not yet...i was thinking Impala police package steelies but i think they are a different bolt pattern
one thing you could also do:
go on ebay:
search for 16" rims with 5x100 pattern
then 9/10 times it'll give you the HUGE list of cars that these rims will fit on.
THen just go through and check each car to see if they came with 16" steelies, usually semi-luxury vehicles like impalas or whatever will have larger steelies than sunfires would.
just an idea
The impala steelies are 5x115 bolt pattern. J's are 5x100

4 Cams...32 Valves...5 Liters...This Could Get Fun!
Sunfire with the sport appearance package [i dont know whut they r called really, thats whut i call it, but the 03-05's with dual exhaust, better suspension, all that good stuff the base model dont have!], but if u did not get the sport rims, they were offered with a 16" steelie with chrome hubcap.
...my friend has one.
i have the 99 steelies that came with the chrome hubbies... but mine are 15"...
thats interesting ^^
didn't curt (skunk) have 16" steelies at one point? ask him

I've got an 03 with the dual exaust and chrome hubcaps, mine however are the 15 inch. I have power everything but no traction control, basic cd sound system so I'm not sure what trim package that is if it's the 1sa or 1sb I believe they call them. Maybe 16's were offered later on in the 03 model year then?
