I current have only 14inch steelies on with gunmetal wheel covers w00t!! i can get a really good deal on 2 17in fronts and 2 18in rears to put on my car. my question is what is the comfort difference like? i have never driven in a low profiled style car so im not sure what the comparisson is like. also i drive about 170km a day and some of the road is very bumpy. performance aside, how rough would my ride be, still on OEm suspension Thanks
i have some 17's on my daily driver... im running 215/45's for tires... and honestly didnt think it was that bad... my car no longer has the stock suspension... there is definitely a noticeable difference in ride quality... but it isnt really enough to deter me from driving... the only thing i would worry about if you driving on some bumpy roads is to be careful you dont screw up a rim...
hope that helped with your decision...
My car rides fine on 17s on stock suspension. Its not really noticeable unless I drive on something like a gravel driveway.
im running 215/35 on 18's. i drive my car for a living delivering pizzas. i didnt see a noticable difference in ride quality. except maybe in gravel. but like eyeopnr said beware of poor roads and potholes
17s in the front and 18s in the rear? check the tire sizes as you would want them to be as close as possible. it wont be a bad ride, even with 18s your sidewall is still 40 which isnt bad at all. ive seen people run 25 on larger rims which i cant imagine how careful they have to drive.
